About the event

The XR Souths group has merged with Artivism for 2022.

Welcome new XR members! Come and find out about XR, actions coming up and help make a beautiful rebellion.

Northsiders are welcome too :)

We meet on the 1st Sunday of the month in Tuggeranong.

CLOTHING: Please where clothes that you don't mind getting splattered with paint.

COVID: We meet in an open shed with outdoor area so that we can socially distance and stay safe. Bring a Mask and keep 1.5m apart and follow any current restrictions.

We chat, scheme and get to know each other while

• planning actions,

and doing anything creative -

• painting banners,

• screen printing t-shirts and

• make props/costumes.

Please RSVP to get the address and so that we can plan. e.g. If we get lots of people we could move to a bigger venue, or have an extra session.

Extinction Rebellion (XR) is a do-it-together movement. All our design and artwork can be used non-commercially for the purpose of planet saving. This does not mean creating merchandise for fundraising or sending XR a percentage of your sales. We do not endorse or create any merchandise and we will pursue and prosecute anyone who does. The Extinction Symbol was designed in 2011 by street artist ESP, who loans XR usage on the same basis:

Extinction Rebellion ACT acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which Canberra is situated, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We wish to recognise and respect their continuing connection to the land and water, and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. Their sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We would also like to acknowledge other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may visit this area.
