About the event

We want to hear from you about how XRT ACT can improve how we operate, plan our events, and create opportunities for member engagement.

We would love it if you could give 90 minutes of your time to take part in one of several focus groups we will be running as part of our ‘rebels with a cause project’. It doesn’t matter if you have been actively engaged with XR or more quietly taking part from the sidelines – everyone’s different experience is important to us.

The focus groups will be run by Leanne Elliott, an independent consultant, who is providing her time pro bono to help XR ACT understand what motivates our Rebels and how can we harness everyone’s energy to better to achieve our aims.

Each group will have a maximum of 8 people and all comments made in the groups will be confidential – no one individual’s comments will be shared by Leanne. Meetings may be recorded for note taking but Leanne will destroy the recordings.

RSVP here to take part in this face-to-face meeting. Note, social distancing will be observed. Location details will be emailed to you (if you don't receive, please check your spam).

Extinction Rebellion (XR) is a do-it-together movement. All our design and artwork can be used non-commercially for the purpose of planet saving. This does not mean creating merchandise for fundraising or sending XR a percentage of your sales. We do not endorse or create any merchandise and we will pursue and prosecute anyone who does. The Extinction Symbol was designed in 2011 by street artist ESP, who loans XR usage on the same basis:

Extinction Rebellion ACT acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which Canberra is situated, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We wish to recognise and respect their continuing connection to the land and water, and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. Their sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We would also like to acknowledge other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may visit this area.
