About the event

We are a group for people interested in Extinction Rebellion, based on the northside of Canberra. We want to provide a space for people, old and new to XR, to meet, get to know each other, learn about XR, and find ways to get involved in actions, either directly or in supporting roles.

We meet informally once a month for picnics, sharing food and ideas and information. You don't have to live on the north side to join in, but that is where this group meets.  If you would like to text or talk with someone directly please feel free to contact Neti on 0422-532-241.

The Extinction Symbol was designed in 2011 by street artist ESP, who loans XR usage on the same basis:

Extinction Rebellion ACT acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which Canberra is situated, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We wish to recognise and respect their continuing connection to the land and water, and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. Their sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We would also like to acknowledge other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may visit this area.
