About the event

Join the ACT #Discobedience dance squad  on Friday 21 August in Civic for the second performance of ’HONK for Stayin' Alive!’.

We will be letting people know about the climate and ecological emergency with music, singing, choreographed dancing and costumes.

Come help out, join in, enjoy the sound and vision…and help get cars honking and passers-by to join us and help us all to...stay alive! If you don't yet know the dance steps you can help by holding signs and jivin' along to the music!

On COVID-19

Extinction Rebellion ACT acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which Canberra is situated, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We wish to recognise and respect their continuing connection to the land and water, and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. Their sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We would also like to acknowledge other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may visit this area.
