About the event

Come join the joyful 'Discobedience' dancers and singers as they perform to Saturday Night Fever numbers - rewritten for climate action, of course. We will be performing tomorrow rain, hail or shine! 4.30 to 5.30pm right near the Post Office in Civic (the underpass between the two Canberra Centres). Come along in your boogie shoes or hold a sign up if you don't feel like dancing! And grab a placard and help get passing cars honking in support, and pedestrians to stop and talk about how poor a choice gas is for energy.  Business as usual = extinction.

Extinction Rebellion ACT acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which Canberra is situated, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We wish to recognise and respect their continuing connection to the land and water, and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. Their sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We would also like to acknowledge other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may visit this area.
